The Student Financial Center is seeking to fill a Senior Staff Assistant position. The Student Financial Center is a One-Stop customer service organization providing a broad range of Enrollment Management services. The successful candidate will assist and advise students and their families with matters relating to their Financial Aid and Student Accounts and will work closely with each of these respective offices. Counseling and advising support will be conducted in person, via phone or in writing and will include responding to questions, inquires and requests from students, parents or guardians. The successful candidate will also assist in developing policy and procedures for this new organization, as well as assisting with training and contribute to staff development.
Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization Experience working at a higher education institution; specifically working in a Student Accounts or Financial Aid office counseling students and families regarding their student financial activities Demonstrated strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated experience with computer software such as, Excel and Word and an aptitude and interest to learn new computer applications Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.
