USC Auxiliary Services is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to join its USC Housing team.

USC Housing manages more than 50 properties, hosting over 7,600 undergraduate, professional and graduate students each year. USC’s Residential College experience includes trained student and faculty residential advisors, weekly programming and events, and numerous special interest communities.

The Sustainability Coordinator will develop, plan, coordinate and implement activities and programs related to sustainability for USC Housing.

Job Accountabilities:

. Create sustainability activities geared towards achieving buy-in and habit transformation from student, faculty and staff community members.

. Coordinate program services and/or activities. Schedule classes, meetings and/or events. Provide leadership and guidance for student workers and/or volunteers . Make arrangements with vendors for services. Ensures satisfactory follow through on assigned areas of responsibility.

. Encourage and facilitate sustainability programs initiated by student, faculty and staff community members. Foster and coordinate new ideas and concepts for sustainability programming themes and identify materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing sustainability programming.

. Assist the Director of Housing in defining goals, performance metrics and a long range plan for sustainability. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, document performance trends, and recommend and implement modifications to improve program effectiveness.

. Coordinate and/or participate in public relations activities to include brochures, newsletters and other promotional materials and/or publications, designing fliers, and responding to inquiries; develop plans and schedules for release of publicity materials.

. Coordinate program services with other offices and staff on campus. Serve as a resource for program information. Represent program as requested.

. Research and maintain working knowledge of best practices at peer institutions with regards to sustainability.

. Recruit, interview, hire and manage student interns performing research or work on sustainability projects with well-defined deliverables.

. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
