Description
Assists the Executive Director with scheduling meetings and travel, preparation of proposals and presentations, processes travel and expense reports and other general support functions.
- Serves as liaison to the Foundation Board of Directors by handling all aspects of planning board and committee meetings and maintaining Board correspondence and minutes
- Manages the Foundation’s Scholarship Program.
- Assists in the planning of meetings and special events such as an all day retreat, stewardship and cultivation events, alumni events and a golf tournament.
- General office management including typing, filing, answering phones, sorting mail, submitting work orders and ordering supplies. Acts as front line receptionist on the phone and in person.
- Responsible for gift entry into Banner database and processing solicitation mailings and donor acknowledgement letters.
- Interacts with current and potential donors on the phone, via email and in person.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree and two years of paid work experience in a customer service, office management or related function, preferably in a non-profit organization OR a Bachelor’s Degree and some experience, even if on a volunteer basis, in a non-profit enterprise. Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors, in event planning, financial aid and general office administration is desirable. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and competency with SCT Banner or and equivalent donor management system is also desirable.
Applicants must also be a highly organized professional with excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as a high level of energy, initiative and creativity, a collaborative team-oriented style, a customer service mindset and high ethical standards. Candidate will successfully manage multiple priorities, have the personal presence and credibility to engender trust and confidence, and have the ability to relate to people at all levels within the college and community.
