"Diversifying the student body, the faculty and the curriculum requires that commitment to those goals infuse all areas of the College."
This quote from Union's Strategic Plan has been the motivating direction for the Office of Campus Diversity and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Union’s size allows us to provide a supportive environment in which students develop academically, socially and personally through meaningful interactions with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. We provide a differentiating blend of intellectual, social and cultural opportunities to facilitate that development and to support our diverse community of students.
Because of these objectives, our office reports to the Board of Trustees and president of the College. We offer a host of diversity, leadership and sensitivity training to different departments and divisions on campus. We work closely with Academic Affairs on curriculum development and global initiatives, and we often share our expertise in these areas with other institutions of higher education and with external educational organizations.
