Medical Equipment Loans
The Wicker Wellness Center has certain medical equipment available for temporary loan (e.g. a wheelchair, crutches). Students in need of such equipment should contact the Wicker Center (please be prepared to provide medical records if necessary).
Looking for a simpler way to get your prescription medication while you're away from home? We collaborate with a local pharmacy called Lange's Pharmacy. If you provide Lange's Pharmacy with your current prescription and health insurance information, Lange's can deliver your medication directly to the Wicker Wellness Center. (You can also drop off the paper script for your prescription to us, and we can fax it over to Lange's). Your co-pay will be billed to your tuition, unless you set up a credit card payment option with Lange's. Click here for Lange's contact information.
Medication Pick-Up Times (no appointment necessary):
You can pick up your medication during our normal business hours, Monday-Friday 9 AM - 12 PM or 1 PM - 5 PM.
**Health Services is closed from 12 PM - 1 PM daily (medication cannot be picked up during this hour).**
Nutrition Counseling Orientation Session:
Students seeking nutrition counseling services will initially be scheduled to attend a one hour Nutrition Counseling Orientation Session. During this group meeting, students will be provided with information on our services and on general nutritional wellness. Time will be allotted for student questions and concerns. Students will then be able to schedule individual follow up sessions with our nutritionist. Please call us at (518) 388-6120 to sign up for an Orientation Session.
**Though nutrition counseling is free of charge, a No-Show fee of $10 for an Orientation Session or a $30 for individual session will be billed to students' tuition for any appointment not canceled at least 24 hours in advance (due to high demand of services).**
Psychiatric Medication Management
We have a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on staff who provides medication management and can write prescriptions for students. These appointments are only scheduled on Thursdays.
**A No-Show fee of $35 for an intake visit or $25 for a follow-up visit will be billed to students' tuition for any appointment not canceled at least 24 hours in advance (due to high demand of services).**
Term Abroad Physicals
At the beginning of each term, the Wicker Wellness Center will conduct Term Abroad physicals for students going abroad. These appointments are offered on a first come-first served basis, so call us at the beginning of the term to schedule. For information about Term Abroad, please contact the International Programs Office.
**We're sorry, but we are unable to reschedule TA physicals for students who miss their appointments (due to the high demand of services).**
