Summary

The Office of Admissions at Union College seeks a Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions to join a team of lively, forward-looking admissions professionals. The Dean will be responsible for a full range of recruitment activities including contacts with prospective students, families and high schools, market development and management of a regional territory, interviewing candidates, and evaluating applicant credentials. The Dean will also focus on electronic communications which includes: crafting, editing and publishing (email, web and social media), basic photo editing and representing admissions in various online communities.

Qualifications

Requirements include a bachelor's degree; prior admissions, communications or related experience; commitment to diversity and experience working with a diverse student population; familiarity with small liberal arts colleges; excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to write and edit marketing copy; planning and organizational ability; a valid driver's license and willingness to travel. Successful candidates will have the ability to work well independently and as part of a group.
