Summary
Responsibilities include emptying office and building trash containers, washing windows, cleaning showers, bathrooms, and public areas using wet/dry mop, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths and cleaning solutions, cleaning, stripping, and waxing tile and floors, cleaning, shampooing and extracting carpeting, keeping equipment in working order by making simple adjustments such as installing new vacuum bags and mop heads, moving equipment from location to location as necessary, removing snow and debris from entrances and porches, assisting with special event set-ups (tables & chairs), and following safety instructions/procedures relating to clothing, gloves, goggles, masks and use of cleaning chemicals. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time. Must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions. During emergency situations will be required to work in the event of a personnel shortage.
