Winter/Spring Engineering Exchange Program

A city with more than 3,000 years of history, Ankara is a unique combination of old and new, east and west. This capital city of Turkey is home to some 3 million people, many of whom are university students and international expats there on business, lending a truly global feel to the shops, hotels, restaurants and pedestrian-only areas.

Course of Study

Union engineering students may participate in this exchange program with Middle East Technical University (METU), a state university with approximately 23,000 students. METU hosts over 1,500 international students from nearly 80 different countries.

All courses are taught in English, which has greatly facilitated METU's efforts to accommodate international students and researchers. Additionally, the 13 undergraduate programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) programs in the USA.
