There are several petition courses offered by the Political Science department. These classes are offered as petition courses to insure Political Science students receive preference in the course. To receive a petition, you must sign up online following the instructions from the registrars office during petition sign up. You may register for all other PS courses during your pre-scheduling appointment in the registrar’s office. Some of these courses will be open on a first come, first serve basis. Others will have a specified number of seats allocated for each class.
YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA YOUR UNION COLLEGE EMAIL IF YOU ARE ACCEPTED INTO ONE OF THE PETITION COURSES. You will have to accept the petition online if you wish to take the class. (You will not have to physically pick up a card to be admitted. The registrar will have the information from the PS department when you register.) If you do not accept your petition online by the deadline stated your petition will be available to students on the waitlist. If there is no waitlist, a student may request an available petition in SSCI 105.
