SEMINAR: INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
The Government Department, in cooperation with the School for Summer and Continuing Education, sponsors a ten-week Public Affairs Seminar: Internship Program. The Program enables students to study and to participate in the workings of the governmental process. The purpose of the seminar is to examine the representational and legislative functions of the U.S. Congress. The seminar sessions will focus on the working of Congress, and the inter-relations among Congress, executive agencies, the courts, interest groups, and political organizations.
Only undergraduate students will be accepted into the summer program. Juniors and seniors will be given preference. A good background in political science and an over all average of 3.0 or above is expected.
