Sophomore Projects

Graffiti from project of Amie Csiszer '02, anthropology major

The Sophomore Project gives students an opportunity to work closely with a faculty member on a research project of significant scope. Each year, sophomores work for two terms on their projects with the aim of presenting them at the Steinmetz Symposium in the spring. Often the project take its final form as an academic paper, but students have also written plays, put together photography exhibits, built web sites, and given performances. This page presents some of their recent work. There are full-text versions of some papers, as well as a PowerPoint presentation from a recent Steinmetz Symposium.
