Responsibilities

  • Formulate & submit for General Faculty approval all policies and procedures for review of faculty members for renewal contract, promotion, tenure, and salary increments

  • Recommend policies for distribution of funds available for faculty salaries

  • Review individual faculty members in consideration of contract, promotion, tenure, and tenure-making recommendations in individual cases

Sub-Committees

  • Faculty Consultation Committee

Members

  • Five senior faculty (one for each Division, one elected by faculty at-large)

  • Two junior faculty (one to represent the Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences divisions, and the other to represent the Science and Mathematics and Engineering and Computer Science divisions)

  • Dean of Faculty (ex-officio, without vote except if requested by Board in event of a tie)

  • Dean of Academic Departments (ex-officio & without vote) 

  • Affirmative Action Officer (ex-officio & without vote)
