Wold Center

An interdisciplinary hub

The Wold Center is a dynamic hub for doing cutting-edge interdisciplinary work in the Wright Biochemistry Research Laboratories and in the Aerogel Lab, where you can manufacture some of the lightest solid materials known. Work with robots in the CROCHET lab, and leverage a state-of-the-art motion capture system. The Wold Center is also home to the Energy and Environmental Engineering Suite, the Rooftop Energy Research Lab, and the Center for Data Analytics.

Two Makerspaces are located in the Wold Center. The Imagine Lab is focused on immersive learning with Virtual Reality (VR) Augmented reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). The 3D Print Lab provides students and faculty with a variety of hardware and software to design, scan and print.

Gather with friends and faculty at the MacLean Family Atrium, and grab a snack or a latte at the Starbucks café.

Fact: The Peter Irving Wold Center has earned LEED Gold status, one of the highest honors for sustainable design
