The Union College environmental engineering minor is for students who are interested in the engineering and technical aspects of environmental issues.
You will learn about the environmental issues involved in designing energy, water supply, waste water, housing and infrastructure systems. Your work in this area may include courses on energy, water resources, hydrology, waste management and recycling, sustainable infrastructure, engineering economics and environmentally friendly buildings.
Environmental engineering professionals work in air and water pollution control, public health, recycling and other areas, with private industry, government agencies or not-for-profit organizations.
