Why did you choose Union: As a senior, I applied to 10 colleges and I had absolutely no idea where I was going to end up. For the most part, my biggest requirement was that all my schools be within a 4-hour radius of my
hometown. Ultimately, my decision to attend Union was an easy one. Union College was the only school that treated me like I was important, from the first moment that I stepped on to campus until my decision. In my small town, all the Union alumni knew that I applied and they went out of their way to tell me how much they looked forward to the possibility of having another Skaneateles student attend. When I visited Union on an admitted student’s day, I noticed how genuine the staff and students were. Any concerns that I had about Union were immediately put to rest and turned into reasons why I should attend. After I left Union that day, I told my parents that I could see myself here. I did not say this at any other school.
