Major:

Neuroscience

Minor:

French

Hometown:

Brockton, Massachusetts (south of Boston)

Why I chose Union:

Union College was not on my radar until the beginning of senior year. My guidance counselor brought it up to me because of the Posse Foundation Scholarship and I was attracted to the neuroscience major, as well as study abroad and volunteer opportunities. Upon acceptance, I visited campus and loved the welcoming environment and small classes allowing students to truly get to know their professors both inside and outside of class.

Study Abroad:

Rennes, France in Fall 2015

Favorite professor:

Professor Christopher Chabris – All of his real life examples of various aspects of neuroscience raised my interest, confirming what I want to study.

Favorite class:

“Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience” – It was my first neuroscience course!

Favorite activity:

Any exercise from dance to strength training to spinning

Favorite place on campus:

The Nott – I can study in the third floor quiet space and I've sat there for some memorable speakers during my time here.

Favorite local restaurant:

Zen (Asian cuisine)

Favorite food on campus:

My day is always made by fresh vegetables and fruits in my salads and sandwiches from O3.
