Why I chose Union

I chose Union because of the amazing Psychology and Theater Departments, the incredible opportunities on and off campus, the one-on-one connection with professors, and the beautiful campus.

Study Abroad:

Galway, Ireland

Internship:

Boston Children’s Hospital Down Syndrome Program

Favorite professors:

My favorite professors on campus are Professor Culbert and Professor Finlay in the Department of Theatre and Dance. They both give me so much of their time, whether that’s helping me rehearse monologues to prepare for auditions or just sitting down to talk. They both genuinely care about my growth as a student and person. Professors Culbert and Finlay treat their students like professionals.

Favorite classes:

My favorite classes at Union have been “Developmental Psychology,” “Stage Combat,” and “The Holocaust.” Each of these classes is taught by incredibly experienced and passionate professors who, in turn, keep me engaged and make me excited to learn more about their subjects.

Favorite activities:

Best Buddies, Big Brother Big Sister, Zumba, and Bagel Brunches in Hillel

Favorite place on campus:

Yulman Theater has to my favorite spot on campus because it is my home away from home. I spend hours in Yulman Theater whether my time is spent taking classes, rehearsing with our latest production, or staying up late doing homework on one of the comfy couches in the theater.

Favorite local restaurant:

Puzzles Bakery & Café

Favorite food on campus:

Ozone Café
