Major:

Managerial Economics

Minor:

Political Science

Hometown:

Montrose, Pa.

Why I chose Union:

I was originally recruited to play baseball here at Union. When visiting, I instantly loved the community that was established with everyone on campus and the attention every student got from professors. I also noticed that Union had so many things to offer, and I knew that if I took the initiative to seek these opportunities, I could be a part of something larger than just academics.

Internships:

Brinker Capital, an Investment Management Firm in Berwyn, PA. (summer of my junior year) and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees (summer of my senior year).

Favorite professors:

Stephen Schmidt (Economics), Stacie Raucci (Classics) and Patricia Culbert (Theater and Dance)

Favorite classes:

Some of my favorite classes have been within my major, but many have also been outside of my major. They include “Public Speaking,” “Environmental/Natural Resources,” and “Econometrics.”

Favorite activities:

Running, playing baseball and enjoying Union with friends.

Favorite place on campus:

Jackson’s Garden because it provides a nature escape from other parts of campus to study, relax, or hang out with friends.

Favorite local restaurant:

Thai Thai Bistro

Favorite food on campus:

Breakfast wraps at Dutch because they are delicious, and easy to grab and go.
