It’s been a few years already since I graduated from Union, but it’s easy to recall that immediate strong feeling I got my first time here. I knew this was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. Union felt like home. I was certain this was where I had the potential and opportunity to go after whatever I wanted. I feel so grateful to forever be a part of this community.

So many people here gave me their undivided support and attention throughout my four years. Some of my best Union experiences were going on a term abroad to Cambodia and on the Civil Rights mini-term, and participating in a Japanese-American Physics Conference in Hawaii. I also focused on taking as many classes in different areas as I could – anthropology, psychology, sociology, economics, classics, theater, history, English, Spanish, and of course, physics and mathematics (my major and focus). The physics computer lab is the quietest place on campus, and my favorite spot. It’s where I had my most inspirational thoughts and did my best work. It is also where I wrote my thesis.

My regions of responsibility include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Eastern Massachusetts, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and South Carolina. When not working, I have a lot of hobbies and interests, including half-marathons, travel, hiking, theology and politics. My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. My favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast. My favorite Schenectady restaurant is Perecca’s, an Italian bakery and restaurant that has been around for decades. You can’t find bread and pizza like this anywhere else; it is the definition of a traditional Italian eatery.
