Why I chose Union:

It’s that feeling that everyone gets when they walk onto that one campus and know that this is where they want to be. Union felt like a home. It brought out this energy in me that made me feel like I had the potential and the opportunity to go after whatever I wanted. I feel so grateful to forever be a part of this community.

Areas of study:

Bachelor's in Mathematics; Master’s in Secondary Math Education

Term abroad:

Barbados, Cambodia, Civil Rights mini term, Japanese-American Physics Conference in Hawaii

Favorite vacation destination:

Barbados. I go back at least every two years to see the friends and family I had during my term abroad.

Favorite book:

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Favorite movie:

Beauty and the Beast

Favorite Schenectady restaurant:

Perecca’s, it is an Italian bakery and restaurant that has been around for decades. You can’t find Italian bread and pizza like this anywhere else; it is the definition of a traditional Italian eatery.

Favorite spot on campus:

The physics computer lab. It is the quietest place on campus, where I had my most inspirational thoughts and best work. It is also the place where my thesis was written and submitted. :)

Half-marathons, travel, hiking, theology, politics
