Getting to Know Union Weekend

Union College will be hosting an overnight college preview program for high-achieving students from diverse backgrounds. This program is designed to allow students to learn more about our academic offerings; give them an authentic view of what life can be like at Union; and provide opportunities to engage with current students, faculty and administrators. Because we understand that traveling may pose a significant financial burden for many families, the College will cover the entire cost of the trip, including transportation and meals, for students who qualify.

The program dates for 2017 will be announced during the summer. In addition to completing the online application, students will need to send a copy of their high school transcript (an unofficial copy is acceptable). Transcripts must show final grades through the end of the student’s junior year. Transcripts may be uploaded to the application, faxed to Admissions at 518-388-6986 or emailed to admissions@union.edu. The transcript must be received by the deadline for the application to be considered complete. Applicants will be notified, via email, shortly after the application deadline.

Please contact Vernon Castillo with any questions.

Requirements: Must be a high school senior, meet the academic requirements (see below) and complete an application (including submission of high school transcript).

What to bring: Sleeping bag, blanket, pillow, towel, spending money, toiletries and a change of clothes.
