To provide instructional support services to enhance teaching skills, including infusing technology into instruction, providing specially designed instruction training, incorporating the analysis of student performance data and providing a variety of specialized support to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. Knowledge of ESSA preferred.
A. Master’s degree in special education, reading or speech and language or
B. Bachelor’s degree in special education, reading or speech and language and a Master’s degree in education;
C. NYS Certification in special education, reading and or speech and language
D. At least five years of successful classroom teaching experience working with students with disabilities
E. Experience as a teacher leader, instructional coach, or mentor would be highly desirable
1. Provide curriculum support, technical assistance and support to school personnel for improving student outcomes.
2. Assist school personnel in developing instructional strategies in response to student outcome data.
3. Provide support for curriculum redesign to ensure alignment with the Next Generation Learning Standards focusing specifically on specially designed instruction.
