Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary field of study encompassing the various scientific disciplines dealing with the structure, development, function, chemistry, pharmacology, and pathology of the nervous system. Neuroscience careers include but are certainly not limited to: Neuroscientist, Neuroanatomist, Neurobiologist, Neurochemist, Neurological Surgeon, Neurologist, Neuropathologist, Neuropharmacologist, and Neuropsychologist.

Finding undergraduate research in the field of Neuroscience can be challenging due to the interdepartmental nature of the major. It is key to introduce yourself and have a relationship with a number of professors associated with the program. Be sure to use them as a resource; they are more than likely willing to point you in the right direction or to help you get in touch with those who can. Many of these professors are doing their own research and would welcome assistance as well.
