Research interests

My research focuses on the sensory ecology, behavior, and sexual selection of spiders. My current work is investigating the role of vibrational and acoustic signals in the courtship communication of wolf spiders, as well as the responses to acoustic stimuli from bird predators. My goals are to better understand the ecological factors that have driven the specialization of certain behaviors and the sensory systems that mediate them, specifically within the context of the evolution of vibrational and acoustic communication.
