New financial aid grants to help families afford Union

$65 MILLION
Ensuring that the next generation is prepared for whatever the future has in store means making sure as many talented young people as possible have access to every aspect of the exceptional education Union offers. While we currently meet full demonstrated need when it comes to tuition, room and board, many students are still limited in their ability to participate in programs like study away or unpaid internships.
The Powering Union campaign will expand financial assistance to help ensure that every student is able to take advantage of the complete Union experience. Along with traditional financial aid, family grants will expand access to more middle-class families, putting a Union education within reach for students from a broader range of socioeconomic backgrounds. The campaign will grow support for Making U Possible initiatives—including immersive opportunities like mini-terms, internships and pre-orientation—to guarantee that no student misses out on any aspect of their Union education because of financial circumstances. We also will ensure that students are able to focus on their academic pursuits during a period of unanticipated difficulty by covering one-time emergency expenses through the College’s Persistence Fund.
