President David R. Harris

I often think of Union as a 226-year-old startup—built on a strong foundation, and constantly innovating and evolving to achieve our goal of ensuring that every student benefits from the complete Union experience. Powering Union: The Campaign for Multiple Tomorrows is the fuel that will enable us to realize the promise of our strategic plan and propel the College forward as never before.

Union College never ceases to improve upon its mission to provide a rigorous, holistic and immersive education that emphasizes integration, innovation, inclusion and reflection for every student.

Since its founding, Union has defined, and redefined, what it means to provide a liberal arts education. Our faculty have always been at the forefront of change. They are highly regarded scholars in their fields and skilled teachers who ensure that students thrive as active learners with the confidence to take risks, think critically and lead in ways large and small.

The Powering Union campaign is gaining tremendous momentum thanks to thousands of Union alumni, families and friends who are investing in the success of our faculty and students. Support for academic campaign priorities is propelling the liberal arts and engineering by providing faculty with important resources to excel as innovative teachers, mentors and scholars. Gifts to other high priorities like financial aid, experiential learning and student programming beyond the classroom will help to ensure that every student, regardless of background or circumstances, has the opportunity to attend Union and benefit from the full range of undergraduate experiences.

I’d like to thank each of our donors and supporters for your commitment to the College’s vision and to empowering students on their journey to become multidimensional thinkers and thoughtful leaders in a world of multiple tomorrows.
