"I chose Union primarily for its unique Leadership in Medicine program, offered in partnership with Albany Medical College. My dream of becoming a physician is also becoming a reality, thanks to my Goldman Scholarship, which has supported me through my journey at Union and opened so many doors for my success.

At Union, I am involved in a number of activities outside the classroom. The Bhangra and Shakti clubs allow me to remain involved in my culture and to celebrate traditions, which can sometimes be difficult so far away from home. Additionally, I am involved with Union’s Honor Council, through which I mentor students who have committed academic violations by helping them improve their study habits and plan for the remainder of their time at Union.
For fun on campus, I play tennis and volleyball and take walks around the beautiful campus. During my time here, I have become friends with many people who are similar to me as well as different from me.
I owe a large part of the many opportunities available to me to my Goldman Scholarship and cannot wait to achieve my dreams after graduation."
