Jocelyn Santos

"I am the youngest of four children and the first generation in my family to attend college.

Everyone in my family is very excited that I've had the opportunity to go to college. I selected Union College because it was far enough from home and yet still close enough to visit.

The campus atmosphere won me over, and it is small enough to get to know my classmates and faculty well.

I had never left the country before I came to Union College. I spent a term abroad in Vietnam and would not have been able to do so on my own. Resources and connections are huge factors in everyone's lives.

Support from the Union community has helped students like me focus on achieving their full potential and make their mark in the world without the worry of how to pay for college."
