Responsibilities: Chris oversees all facets of safety and security provided to the campus. He serves as the principal college official responsible for the administration of policies, procedures, data collection, and reporting to ensure compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act as amended by the Campus SaVE Act and Title IX. He has been a member of the Campus Safety Department since 1988 after attending Herkimer County Community College.
Chris began his career as an officer and has managed all aspects of the department on his way to the leadership role. Chris has a daughter completing her doctorate degree and a son working in municipal law enforcement. He volunteers regularly for charity running events and coaches a travel baseball team.
Some Notable Continuing Education: Certified Zone 5 NYS Department of Criminal Justice Public Safety Officer, Certified Zone 5 NYS Field Training Officer, Certified NYS Municipal Police General Topics Instructor, Certified Title IX Investigator, International Association for Campus Law Enforcement Administrator Certifications, Northeast Colleges and Universities Security Association Certifications. Besides membership in various law enforcement associations Chris is a member of the Schenectady County Community College Criminal Justice Board and the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
