Our equipment and facilities are top-notch, with three computer labs available 24/7 to students. Want to use your own laptop or tablet? You'll find Wi-Fi all over campus. We also have a laboratory for robotics and human-computer interaction, known as the CRoCHET Lab – Collaborative Robotics and Computer-Human Empirical Testing.
Need more power? The College utilizes cloud-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources to support research computing needs.
The PASTA (Parallel Asynchronous and Synchronous Theory and Applications) laboratory is funded by a National Science Foundation grant and is used for classes and projects in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Computer Science Laboratory
The CS Lab is located in the F.W. Olin Center. The room is used as a studio-lab for many computer science courses. The lab is open 24 hours a day to students who need the facility for project or class work.
The department's primary research lab is where you will explore human-computer interaction and conduct state of the art robotics research.
High-Performance Computing (HPC)
The department has a cluster computer with 34 dual-Xeon compute nodes, each with 2 GB of memory, and an 8-core system (dual quad-core Nehalem processors) with 24 GB of memory. They are used for a parallel-computing class and for student and faculty projects.
