American Australian Association Fellowship

Sponsor: American Australian Association

Purpose: The fellowships build on existing strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia. The fellowships support post-graduate study and research between Australia and the United States and is the largest source of privately funded educational Fellowships between the two countries.

Opportunity: Up to US$30,000-$40,000 supporting up to 1 year of graduate or postdoctoral study in Australia (US citizens/permanent residents) or the US (Australian citizens/permanent residents)

Citizenship requirements: U.S. citizen or permanent resident; Australia citizen or permanent resident. It’s OK if already studying/living in the country to which applying.

Min. GPA: none stated

Additional criteria: Acceptance into a US or Australian educational institution for full time study at the Masters, PhD, or post-doctoral level

National deadline:

  • US to Australia — mid-October
  • Australia to US — mid-April
