Leadership in Medicine

Sample B.S./M.S. Course Plan

This sample schedule is designed for the Biology ID major with an MS in Healthcare Leadership

The undergraduate portion of the LIM program includes an Interdisciplinary (ID) major, which means the bachelor’s degree is a combination of two academic disciplines.  LIM students complete the requirements for an ID major by selecting a major in the Math/Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Math) and a major in the Humanities/Social Sciences (any department that offers an ID major). The LIM curriculum includes a minimum of:

  • 16 or 17 Math/Science courses depending on placement in Chemistry and Math
  • 15 Humanities/Social Sciences courses
  • 10 graduate courses for the MS or 14 graduate courses for the MBA

LIM students complete core Math/Science courses although there is some variation based on chemistry and mathematics placement.  There are many ways to configure the schedule, which is why students work closely with the LIM adviser right from day one.

The sample schedule below represents a student with a Biology/Sociology ID major who is pursuing the MS degree.
