Living pollution: Invasive species could foul the Adirondacks

The 6.1 million-acre Adirondack Park—larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier and Great Smoky Mountains combined—faces a growing threat. Invasive species are moving into the area, bringing with them the potential for serious environmental and economic degradation. The work of Union professors, students and alumni, however, could help mitigate the impact of these living polluters.
