The legendary British baritone Simon Keenlyside makes his highly-anticipated Capital Region debut with pianist Malcolm Martineau on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Union’s Memorial Chapel.

Simon Keenlyside appears in all the world’s great opera houses and has a particularly close association with the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, and the Bavarian and Vienna State Opera houses. His roles include Prospero in The Tempest, Posa in Don Carlo, Germont Père in La Traviata, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Count Almaviva and the title roles in Don Giovanni, Eugene Onegin, Pelléas et Mélisande, Wozzeck, Billy Budd, Hamlet, Macbeth and Rigoletto.
