The sixth screening in the series is confirmed for March 11: Spike Jonze’s HER (2013): In a near future, a lonely writer develops an unlikely relationship with an operating system designed to meet his every need.
Greg Seton, Dartmouth College, is a specialist of Buddhist philosophy and earned a BA in Film Studies from Wesleyan University, graduated from the American Film Institute, and worked in the film industry as an award-winning writer and director for nine years.
This film series, organized by the Religious Studies Department, explores how humans seek to move beyond the limits of ordinary experience – whether through spirituality and mysticism, technology or drugs, or immersion into community life, nature and meditation.
