Aaron Garrett’s main areas of research are the history of modern moral and political philosophy, the history of philosophical methodology (and some issues in metaphysics), and more recently the philosophy of art and the philosophy of film. His current projects include a monograph on 17th-century moral philosophy, a successor volume on 18th-century moral philosophy, and a book on montage and the philosophy of film.
