We Choose U! Admitted Student Open House

Join us on campus to explore four years at Union in one day. Meet our community and other students admitted to the Class of 2027! Get a glimpse of the undergraduate experience that awaits when you Make Union Yours.

  • Pre-registration is required. While planning your visit, please review Union's current COVID-19 information.

Union is unable to provide overnight accommodations but there are a variety of hotel options in our area. Please inquire with the following hotels in Schenectady about special Union College rates: Hampton Inn by Hilton, The Landing Hotel (use code DUTCH23), Courtyard Marriott Mohawk Harbor and Homewood Suites by Hilton.

Registration Opens

Check in with us and pick up your materials for the day.

Please allow extra time for parking and to reach your first event. If you received your materials at the evening program on Sunday, you may bypass registration on Monday.

9:15 AM - 10:15 AM

Your First Year at Union

For students: Sample Class taught by Union faculty

  • Check your nametag for your class information!

For parents: From the First Day at Union panel presentation, with campus leaders from Academic Advising, First-Year Experience, U Journey and Minerva programs.

10:30 AM - 11:15 AM

Your Sophomore Year ~ Choose from the following sessions:

  • Explore & Engage at Union, including our Complex Questions Curriculum, research, and Class Dean advising
  • Student Panel, featuring current Union sophomores
  • Highlights of Union Tour: abbreviated campus tour including a residence hall
  • Q & A Session with Director of Residential Life

11:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Your Junior Year ~ Choose from the following:

  • Study Abroad
  • Health Professions Advising
  • Fellowships, Graduate School and Career Advising
  • Highlights of Union Tour: abbreviated campus tour including a residence hall
  • Q & A Session with Director of Residential Life

12:00 pm - 12:30 PM

Your Senior Year

Commencement Address from President David R. Harris, plus receive your Union souvenir!

12:45 PM - 2:00 PM

Lunch, with Academic & Campus Life Expos

Take a break for lunch and get to know your future classmates!

Explore the academic and campus life tables at your leisure. Chat with faculty and community leaders and get your questions answered.

1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Engineering and Computer Science Presentation

An overview of engineering and computer science at Union.
