Over the winter break, Marchesani continued his dedication to volunteering at the C.O.C.O.A House through tutoring sixth graders and visited almost every week. “I like to give the kids individualized attention and build their confidence,” he said.
“If you talk to Matt about his time at C.O.C.O.A House, you will understand why Union students love to volunteer. He realizes he is making a difference for the kids he helps, and that he is gaining as much from the experience as the kids.” said Janet Sweeney, program coordinator. From Catskill, New York, Marchesani is a computer science major with an Asian studies minor.
