An article by Bunkong Tuon, associate professor of English, was published in Children’s Literature Association Quarterly. The title of the piece is “’Not the Same, But Not Bad’: Accommodation and Resistance in Thanhha Lai’s Inside Out and Back Again.”
An article by Michael Vineyard, the Frank and Marie Louise Bailey Professor of Physics, and Scott LaBrake, senior lecturer in physics, will be published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research B. “Characterization of atmospheric aerosols in the Adirondack Mountains Using PIXE, SEM/EDX, and Micro-Raman spectroscopies" was co-authored by Salina Ali '15, Benjamin Nadareski '16, Alexandrea Safiq '14, Jeremy Smith '14 and Joshua Yoskowitz '16.
Lori Marso, professor of political science, will be a featured speaker at Hobart and William Smith College’s Fisher Center for the Study of Women and Men. Marso will lead a discussion on sexual violence in film. “Inverting Sexual Violence: Representations of Women’s Agency in Film,” will feature recent examples from movies, such as Catherine Breillat’s “Fat Girl” and David Fincher’s “Gone Girl” on Wednesday, March 25 at 7 p.m.
