The Ion-Beam Analysis Group recently published a paper, “Undergraduate Research and Training in Ion-Beam Analysis of Environmental Materials,” in Physics Procedia. The authors are Michael Vineyard, the Frank and Marie Louise Bailey Professor of Physics; Sajju Chalise '19; Morgan Clark '17; Scott LaBrake, senior lecturer of physics; Andrew McCalmont '16; Brendan McGuire '18; Iseinie Mendez '17; Heather Watson, assistant professor of physics; and Joshua Yoskowitz ‘16. Also, two students traveled with LaBrake and Vineyard to present posters at the fall meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics of the American Physical Society in Pittsburgh. Chalise presented, “Proton Induced X-Ray Emission (PIXE) Analysis to Measure Trace Metals in Soil Along the East River in Queens, New York.” Skye Conlan '18 presented, “PIXE Analysis of Artificial Turf.” Zachary Porat '20 was a coauthor on both posters.

The College's 2015-16 President's Report won silver in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District II Accolades program. "Making a Difference in Our Time: A Decade in Review" was edited by Charlie Casey, senior editor, and designed by Kris Fitzgerald of 2K Design. The Office of Donor Relations was given an honorable mention in the special events category for its organization and planning of the groundbreaking for the Integrated Science and Engineering Complex. Ashley Boland, director of Donor Relations and Advancement Events, oversaw the event.
