Campus events scheduled for Black History Month


A host of events on campus are scheduled to observe Black History Month.

Events kicked off earlier this month with Black Family Feud, a poetry slam and discussion of the recent Civil Rights mini-term. Other events include:

  • Friday, Feb. 16 - "Black Panther" screening at Bowtie Cinemas. Sign-ups for the event are during common lunch Feb. 12 in the Student Activities office.
  • Monday Feb. 19 and Thursday, Feb. 22 - Black history themed menus in Upperclass hosted by Union Hospitality. 
  • Monday, Feb. 19 to Friday, Feb. 23 - BSU Spirit Theme Week 
  • Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. - African Cultural Night with the African Dance Club
  • Saturday, Feb. 24 - Black Excellence Ball and after party with BSU. 6 p.m. in Old Chapel with the after party starting at 10 p.m.
