Nott Today Covid

  • Today marks the one-year anniversary of our first positive COVID case at Union College. This last year has been challenging for our entire community as we all learned how to navigate our new normal amidst a global pandemic. President Harris shared a video and members of our community shared written reflections on the past year. We invite you to reflect on their words. While the pandemic continues to present major challenges for the College and for each of us individually, we have come a long way since last March 12, and we are so proud of our entire Union family. Go U!
  • On March 8, CDC released new guidance for fully vaccinated individuals. We will continue evaluating evolving guidance and campus conditions and provide updates for any changes to our health and safety protocols. As of now, our current health and safety protocols remain unchanged for all individuals, including those who are fully vaccinated.
  • We shared information yesterday about expanded eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine in NY State. The expanded list of populations now includes in-person employees, including student employees. We encourage all members of our community who are able to get vaccinated. We remind you that, according to New York State, a pay stub or Union ID is sufficient to show that you work at Union College.

The seven-day positivity rate in Schenectady County is 1.8 percent.

This week we give thanks to the staff at Health Services. Angela, Anita, Anne, Joan, Paula, Diane, Susan, Christine, Michele, Kay, Patty, Jamie, and Diane work day in and day out to keep our community healthy and well. While our minds are consumed with COVID-19, these women continue to be focused on the holistic wellness experience of our student body. They are an invaluable part of our community.

NOTT Today COVID T-shirts - To thank and encourage students, faculty and staff to get their vaccines, we’ve created a special Nott Today COVID t-shirt (pictured above) that will be distributed in April. Please indicate your t-shirt size preference by March 17 using this form.
