COVID-19 Updates

Weekly testing results update; schedule for winter break testing

Publication Date

Dear Union College Community:

Our testing this week yielded only two positive COVID-19 results - one among students and one among employees. Our continued thanks go out to all members of the Union community for taking our health protocols seriously. The testing dashboard will be updated with full results this evening.

Next week marks the final week of mandatory testing for the fall term. Reminder: if, for any reason, a student receives an off-campus test they must notify the Wellness Center and forward their result immediately.

During the winter holiday break, voluntary testing will be offered to any student, faculty or staff member who wishes to get tested. Testing dates for the week of Thanksgiving and winter break are: Monday, Nov. 22, and Tuesdays Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14. Again, testing is not required but is encouraged.

We continue to finalize details for our COVID-19 precautions for the start of winter term. We can share that we plan to require mandatory testing for at least the first two weeks of the term. Details about testing dates, locations and other health protocols will be shared next week.

As always, thanks to everyone in the community for your adherence to our health and safety protocols. Good luck to our students as they complete the final week of classes and prepare for finals!

Sincerely,
