Position Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Associate Director of Event Marketing & Partnerships is responsible for driving registration and attendance to all Forté live events, as well as managing our onsite creative presence and printed branding materials. Manage one direct report and outside vendors.

Event Marketing

 Lead the creation and execution of a promotional plan for each event to meet registration and attendance goals; create schedule, develop email and printed communications, manage social media, coordinate advertising buys, handle partnership and sponsor outreach, track results, and optimize as needed.  Handle production and printing process; serve as point person to marketing designers and vendors.

 Manage the photography and videography needs for event promotion.

 Direct the overall onsite Forté event presence and conference culture.

 Create marketing-specific survey questions to be incorporated in event feedback surveys; analyze marketingspecific questions and make suggestions for marketing improvements.

 Track and analyze success of all event marketing tactics, develop debrief report, and provide recommendations for future event marketing efforts.

 Manage event marketing and printing/collateral budget.

 Travel to and assist with Forté events throughout the year.

Partnership Marketing

 Recruit and manage any marketing partners that can support the event marketing objectives.

 Create and execute partnership agreements, discounts and partner marketing calendar.

 Track effectiveness of each partnership.

 Serve as team-wide lead for partnership strategies and processes across Forte including strategic, marketing, community and content partnerships.

 Maintain up-to-date database of all partners and partner performance; keep contacts engaged and informed.

 Assist with specific exhibitor outreach programs including NACE, SWE, HUWIB, etc.

Other Marketing Initiatives

 Serve as the brand manager for all printed material including brochures, flyers, stationery, banners, etc.

 Serve as marketing point person for school and corporate sponsors.

 Collaborate with corporate and school stewardship team on ways to promote Forté to employees, students, faculty and staff from Forté sponsors.

 Serve as point person for offline marketing vendors; design, print, photography, videography, etc.

 Provide Development team with event and initiative communication support and collateral creation.

 Work with VP of Marketing on ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

 Experience in Higher Ed marketing or non-profit marketing.

 Extensive experience developing and managing marketing plans.

 Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills.

 Strong digital marketing experience: managing websites, social media campaigns, email programs.

 Experience working with and managing freelancers, print vendors, photographers, videographers, etc.

 Project management skills including scoping and leading complex projects, meeting deadlines, motivating project teams and managing budgets.

 Has management experience including direct reports, indirect reports and agencies.

 Attention to detail, responsiveness, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines.

 Tenacity in learning new skills, identifying solutions and resolving issues.

 Must be able to work autonomously, exercise independent decision-making, and set priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-changing entrepreneurial environment.

 Demonstrates energy and passion for the Forté vision.

Required Education / Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree.

 8-12 years of work experience in direct marketing (recruitment, Higher Ed admissions, non-profit)

 Background in creative design, copywriting, account management, or marketing communications preferred.

 Excel and PowerPoint proficient.

 Photoshop and InDesign experience highly desired (ability to “edit” existing collateral).

 Experience with a CMS (WordPress, Convio) and email program (Emma, Constant Contact, etc.) highly desired.

Job Environment

Employees of Forté work independently from home offices. Each employee should have the capacity within their home to set-up a work environment or office. Forté provides a computer, phone, office supplies, and subsidizes the cost of internet service for each employee.
