Sr. Computer Programmer/Analyst

The Senior Computer Programmer/Analyst will assist with computer application development in support of Environmental Public Health Tracking grant deliverables.  Specific duties will include: designing, testing, implementing and deploying Java applications that visualize environmental health data using geographical information systems; researching and documenting technical designs and programming solutions; writing and executing unit test plans; researching, resolving, and testing defects; customer technical support; creating appropriate documentation in work assignments such as code repositories and technical design documents;  participating in the release management process including technical steps to promote, test and release through the development environment; coordinating with infrastructure staff; collaborating with grant partners throughout the project; participating in joint application design session with other technical and program staff; and contributing to grant reporting activities. Other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and two years of computer programming and/or systems analysis; OR an Associate’s degree and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology may substitute for one year of the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience designing, implementing and deploying Java applications using modern Javascript libraries. Proficiency using AngularJS and Hibernate Object Relational Mapping frameworks.  Experience programming Oracle WebLogic Java applications from specifications expressed by use cases, class diagrams, interaction diagrams and sequence diagrams. Experience developing Oracle database schemas, tables, procedures and permissions.  Experience with Javascript and SQL.  Experience implementing web-based geographical information systems.
