|Duties and Responsibilities||
Position is full-time calendar year, permanent.
Provide direct services and support to University undergraduate students on a wide variety of career and internship-related topics and industries. Direct service delivery includes individual career and internship advising with students, small group advising, and large group presentations and workshops. Perform other office and University duties as assigned. Work some evenings and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct student service through individual appointments and walk-in/drop-in advising.
Focus on supporting students in STEM and Healthcare-related majors.
Utilize a range of assessments, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Type Focus and Strong Interest Inventory to help students gain clarity of interests, target occupations and increase career-readiness.
Teach career and internship planning classes.
Design, develop, market and present career development workshops.
Manage shadow program for students enrolled in ITR 300.
Collaborate with faculty to collect and deliver industry-specific information connecting majors and careers.
Develop and market industry-specific programming and resources to faculty and students.
Engage with employers to collect and disseminate industry-related information to students.
Participate in student tracking and evaluation processes designed to assess client activity, satisfaction, and the achievement of learning objectives; Provide bi-annual reports and analyses of client information.
Facilitate workshops and presentations on a variety of career topics such as Writing Targeted Resumes and Cover Letters, Finding Internships, Conducting Internship and Job Searches, and Improving Interviewing Skills.
Collaborate with advising team to evaluate and continually enhance programs and services to more effectively address student needs.
Develop programs to address a wide variety of topics such as advising students on decisions about academic majors, suggesting strategies for exploring career options, sharing effective methods to search for jobs/internships, and preparing for the transition from college; Manage all logistical details of each program and event.
Partner with career and internship advising team to deliver presentations to incoming first-year students.
Collaborate with employer relations team to assure complementary interface of programs and services for students interested in on-campus interviewing, career fairs, and position listings related to internships and full-time jobs; Support traditional and seek new methods of communicating and marketing the value of employer programs to college students.
Serve on career work teams to support new initiatives involving career development and implementation across the University.
Participate in CCEE Job & Internship Fairs by assisting staff with logistics of those events.

1. Master’s degree in higher education, college student personnel or related field;
2. Minimum of two years of experience providing career or internship advising in a college/university setting;
3. Demonstrated experience teaching career or internship-based curriculum;
4. Demonstrated ability to design and present programs or workshops;
5. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills;
6. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
1. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, alumni, faculty, and employers;
2. Demonstrated knowledge of print and on-line career resources;
3. Demonstrated computer and web-based skills, including career database(s);
4. Demonstrated strong oral and interpersonal communication skills;
