Colgate University is a highly selective residential liberal arts institution distinguished by academic excellence and interdisciplinary inquiry located in the picturesque village of Hamilton, NY. Colgate is renowned for its liberal arts core curriculum, offers 54 majors, boasts a 9:1 student faculty ratio, and has 25 Division 1 varsity teams. The Colgate annual giving team is one of the most successful in the nation, and raised nearly $13 million in annual support from 43% of Colgate alumni in 2016. The Student Calling Program is a key component to the annual giving team's success. Additionally, in 2016, 813 students joined the President's Club through the efforts of the senior class Gift Committee and the President's Club Student Committee.

Accountabilities: Accountable for the successful execution of the strategic plan in order to meet senior class and student goals through the Senior Class Gift Committee and President's Club Student Committee programs. The successful candidate will be accountable for the hiring, training, management and supervision of the Student Calling Program, and for successfully reaching program goals. Accountable for effective contribution to the advancement and relationship objectives for alumni and other constituents. Accountable for execution of strategic plan in order to meet alumni and constituent giving goals within assigned classes and affinities.


(Education and Experience):

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.The ideal candidate will possess organizational savvy, an ability to establish and execute plans, and experience motivating internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals. Previous on-campus student leadership role(s) are required. The ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion, and the ability to use IBM Laptop computers and relevant software applications, such as E-Mail, MSWord, MSExcel, and a comfort level with database management are critical. A demonstrated ability to execute programs and meet measurable goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are critical. Must possess strong judgement skills, and the ability develop solutions expediently. An ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education is essential.Candidates must be capable of working collegially and effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors on a daily basis.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous annual fund/alumni relations, sales or marketing experience in a university setting is preferred.

- Demonstrated call center experience.

- Previous experience with CAMPUSCALL and/or other dialing software/databases.

- Previous experience managing and motivating students.

Special Instructions to Applicants: Generally, this is a weekday position with occasional evening or weekend work. During the spring (3 weeks) and fall (3 weeks), this role requires individuals to work from 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday.
