|Position Summary and Responsibilities||Reporting to the Director of Reunions and Class Programs, the Associate/Assistant Director of Alumnae/i Engagement is responsible for developing programs and activities that serve and engage alumnae/i, with a particular focus on those who have graduated from the college within the past ten years. This individual will work closely with class volunteers of all ages to support their planning efforts for reunions and mini-reunions while advancing the mission of the college. He or she will also facilitate the transition of students into engaged alumnae/i through programs designed to foster continued relationships with Vassar, identifying and maximizing opportunities to connect students and alumnae/i. The Associate/Assistant Director will assist in establishing department goals, collaborate with colleagues in administrative offices across campus, and help to run the day-to-day operations for the Office of Alumnae/i Engagement.
|Qualifications||Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Three to five years of progressively responsible and related experience (e.g. alumnae/i relations, development, fundraising, marketing, sales, volunteer management, etc.) required. Requires enthusiasm and a strong commitment to the core values of a liberal arts education. Must have the ability to interact effectively with alumnae/i from diverse age groups and ethnic/cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, communication, and program planning skills. Strong customer-service orientation is necessary. Must be able to work effectively and flexibly in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; familiarity with Banner and iModules preferred. Facility with social media platforms desired. Willingness and ability to travel for the College and to work nights and on weekends is essential.|
