Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager

The University at Albany, a member of the America East Conference and Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) (football), invites applications for a full-time (12-month) position as Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager. The Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager, under the general supervision of the Head Equipment Manager, has primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of all activities related to men's and women's varsity team sports (including football), the distribution/collection of athletic equipment/supplies, laundering, and maintenance of inventory records.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Experience within a collegiate athletic equipment room and/or professional sports setting
  • Compliance with University, State of New York, NCAA, America East Conference and CAA policies and procedures as they relate to all functions within the Athletic Equipment Room
  • Applicants must be certified within one-year of hire with the Athletic Equipment Manager Association (AEMA).
  • Applicant must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At lease two years of experience within a collegiate athletic equipment room and/or professional sports setting
