The Assistant Director of CRM Operations is responsible for managing the Admissions Office's constituent relationship management system (CRM), Technolutions Slate.  This includes responsibility for understanding functional user roles and identifying solutions to meet enrollment goals.  This involves managing the design, build, and transition to operation of solutions within scope using Slate functionality.

Under the direction of the Operations Manager in the Undergraduate Admissions Office, this position oversees daily operations of the CRM, including, importing/exporting data between Slate and Peoplesoft, as well as third party vendors including (but not limited to):  Common Application, SUNY, SAT, ACT, and College Board.  The Assistant Director will configure applications for admission, manage life-cycle for current and future application terms, and develop queries to ensure data integrity.  The individual will continuously monitor and provide direction on fixes, identify and resolve duplicate records, correct addresses, deploy recruitment communication, configure event modules, and assist with other related initiatives.   The person in this position will also be creating and maintaining queries and communication flow rules, sometimes utilizing SQL.   This position will develop and maintain standing and ad hoc reports. The individual will work closely with technology staff on campus to improve operations, data import/export processes, and to assist with trouble shooting problems and system related issues.  This position will also develop procedures to automate manually performed functions.



Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Strong communication and technology skills
  • Three to five years of professional experience in higher education or related field
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Data analysis skills
  • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of integration strategies for data and applications
  • Experience in SQL, Access, other database technologies
  • Experience with HTML
  • Higher Education software development and/or analysis experience
  • Familiarity with undergraduate admission in a public university setting
  • Ability to understand and optimize new processes
  • Understanding of change management, process mapping and process management
