Advises and assists the Director of Resource Management, in planning, directing and reporting all logistics, material, recycle and waste management activities for the Physical Plant Division and in the administration and interpretation of related regulations , laws, policy and procedures. Communicates and manages compliance through management in each operational unit.
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of policy and procedures, planning, budget, organizing, staffing, directing and leading all activities for the Supply Chain and Warehouse Operations and the Recycling and Solid Waste Unit.
The position has responsibility for the supply chain management, quality control, procurement and warehousing of the Physical Plant Division materials and inventory. The position directs all operational and fiscal activities to assure efficient, convenient and timely provision of parts and materials in support of all PPD responsibilities. This includes operations for the Campus and Health Center, Motor Pool, Key Shop, Information Technology Services, and Utility Services warehouse locations as well as warehousing for CNS Telecommunications. The position is responsible for receiving, inventory tracking and issuance of materials with an annual sales value of over $4,500,000 and an average inventory of $2,000,000.
Develops recommendations for efficiencies in material handling, warehousing, inventory control, security of inventory, and other operating policies and procedures as required. Responsible for annual physical inventory count and audit.
This position is responsible for sustainable waste management and is integrally involved in accomplishing Zero Waste for the University. It directs the collection, recycling, reuse, and repurposing for refuse, organics, paper, cans and bottles, metal, woody vegetation, carpet concrete and carpet. Operational control is $2 million dollars of resources. It works closely with the areas responsible for e-waste, furniture and supplies as well as the department of Sustainability.
It serves as the University's principal point of contact for these matters, providing strategic direction and program suggestions for sustainable waste management. It is responsible for the progressive development of sustainable waste management. It manages all vendor contracts and relationships related to these matters.

Expected starting salary is $85,000 - $95,000 yearly based on experience.
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
This position requires the incumbent to have extensive knowledge of supply chain management, waste reduction services and sustainable solutions.
The incumbent must be analytical, capable of professional written and verbal presentation and must possess excellent customer service skills.
Experience in warehousing, material management, receiving, and procurement.
Ability to analyze data, evaluate complex problems and devise alternative solutions.
Knowledge of waste reduction regulatory requirements.
