The Union College Athletic department is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. The softball program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at the Division I level. This position will assist the head coach during practices, training and games, recruiting potential student-athletes on and off campus and monitoring academic progress.
Bachelor’s degree required, collegiate playing/coaching experience preferred; the ability to recruit within College, NCAA and Liberty League rules, strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and computer skills needed. Candidates must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. Candidate must be safety conscience, and able to work with a diverse group of students.
